Mission

That’s a little bit bedder

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

Josh and I thought it would be a tight squeeze when we saw how Ms M wanted her tall fridge-freezer moved from one room to another and her hospital bed manoeuvred into a better position. But we set to work emptying the fridge of its contents to make it lighter, then with some systematic floor clearing we soon had the appliance through the doorway – it fitted with just millimetres to spare. Luckily Ms M had a measuring tape so we could judge whether the bed would fit in a new place in the alcove, making the room tidier and safer. A bit more shifting and success again! We had time to change a couple of light bulbs and chat to Ms M about her plans for sprucing up her home in future.

Thank you so much for doing this, especially during Lockdown

It's so hard for us to see people who have no family or friends that are able to help them

We are so grateful for you guys who are willing to step in at these moments and make all the difference

A big thank you from the team here!
