Sweeping in the simple pleasures

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Slough.

Mrs C used to derive simple pleasure from sitting in her garden lovingly tended and cared for by her husband.

Sadly, since he died last year, and with Mrs C receiving treatment for sore legs, she has neither felt inclined, nor wanted, to maintain it.

Her daughter was keen for her to resume sitting in her garden to lift her spirits. So in came Pam and I with a bit of weeding here, clearing some general garden debris there and a whole lotta plant pot moving to sweep away dirt and leaves that had accumulated.

The happy ending to this tale was the sheer delight on Mrs C's face and her complete appreciation that she could now enjoy sitting outside for the better weather.
