Today we continued our weekly support of the Community Fridge project and it was our best week so far!

Lucy picked up 18kgs of food from the CO-OP whilst Rachel and I collected 19kgs worth from Waitrose. A great haul for anyone in the local area to help themselves with.

The 20th August is also a very special day for us, its our birthday today! 3 great years of helping our community. Join us on Wednesday for a drink!

Exeter Community Fridge
We rescue surplus food from supermarkets across the city and give it away to all via a publicly accessible fridge in Exeter Library in order to reduce food waste.

As above. We need volunteers to pick up surplus food from designated businesses and drop it off at the Community Fridge. Quantities of food can vary but we will aim to match individual volunteers to particular pick-ups. Pick-ups are usually in the morning and the fridge is open during library opening hours. We are primarily a sustainability initiative.
