Goodgym Islington returned to Elizabeth House Food Hub on Hurlock Street for our shopping delivery task of the Summer. The team at Elizabeth House run a really organised operation during the holiday season, offering essential food and supplies for local families and residents in the Islington and Arsenal boroughs. Most of the recipients will visit the hub in person, but we are on hand to assist with deliveries in walking distance.

David, Francesca, Katie, Olivia and Rob all successfully delivered multiple bags of donated items to residents across the borough. Shortly after, the crew asked if we could help with the clearing down process for the day (the hub will return for full operation in 2 weeks), so Frankie, Rob and Simon helped with moving and shifting crates of food and vegetables back into storage, and giving the main hall a good clean (ready for youth club and community yoga running throughout the rest of the week). As a reward, we were gifted loads of delicious yellow cherry tomatoes and plenty of strawberries and blackberries for the road!

We will be back again on Tuesday 16th August.
