Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Gosia Rybacka
Gosia visited Ms F today to help her out with weekly shopping š. It was a bit cold snappy āļø today with a rather heavy rain fallen just earlier on the day.
I gave Ms F a ring āļø when I was on the way, around 5 minutes from her flat, then buzzed in exactly at 7 pm. Ms F welcomed me very warmly with a wide smile on her face š.
She invited me to her living room š where she told me a bit about her recovery from the fall. She doesn't need to wear any dressing anymore š©¹š¤ but her wrist is still a bit swollen. She needs to do regular exercises bending her wrist in many angles which is sometimes very painful.
Ms F went through the shopping list with me mentioning that she called Waitrose earlier and convinced an employee to save a Charlie Bigham's Korma Chicken š meal for her in the fridge. He couldn't "formally" do this so he did hide it behind a - much less popular - Thai variant š (photo attached).
I managed to buy most of the items but unfortunately couldn't get - one of the most important ones - 6-pack of Buxton still water š§. I called Ms F to figure out a plan B and eventually bought the last (!) 4-pack of Essential Waitrose still water. she was pleased as she was running out of her supplies.
Other compromise was with sugar snaps which were available only in baby š¶ version. Ms F was OK with the baby ones, stating that sugar snaps are just too good with salmon to completely resign from.
I was back around 8 pm and met Ms F's carer who was helping her with an evening routine š. Ms F said my visit really brighten up her day āļø which was very nice to hear, especially is this rather gloomy evening.
