Throughout the summer, Gillett Square is hosting great fortnightly events for the local community. Anja and Keyo are fabulous hosts and will be needing more help through summer!

Big up to Paul for packing in the missions on a trip to London from the lovely Goodgym Bristol! He and Steve were on hand to help pack away equipment from the event, including some enviable kids climbing / obstacle course giant foam things, table tennis and gazebos housing the sound system.

But first…

On arriving at the site, it seemed that the offices managing the square and local housing building had sprung a huge leak, converting three floors of hallway and stairwell into an avant-garde indoor water feature. Steve’s tenuous knowledge as the son of a former plumber helped bring the situation under control, including skills such as turning a screwdriver, tilting his head and saying hmmmm and that plumber’s classic, the teeth-dryer (you inhale with your teeth clenched before delivering the bad news).

A whole bunch of mopping, sweeping and sponging later and the building was finally starting to dry out, which meant the team could unite and finish off the equipment take-down and pack it into the two shipping crates on site which store all sorts of activity goodness.

Join us in a couple of weeks or the next one!
