It was so lovely to be back at the Wishing Well last night and to get stuck in to tidying up the allotment. We haven't been able to get there because of the second lockdown for a good few months! It was just an absolute joy to be outside in the fresh air and chatting and catching up. It was also lovely to meet the lovely Donna who joined us on a task for the first time.

Donnal & Sophie were on soil shifting duty - transporting soil from the bag to the bed with the wheelbarrow. They both really got stuck in and soon got it shifted. After finishing that, they joined Karen and Nicola with weeding the path. Having 4 people on the job made what felt like was a never ending task much quicker and easier and it was soon finished and looking lovely.

Maurice weeded and cleared an overgrown flower bed making it look really neat and tidy and Nigel trimmed some of the edges and around the beds with the shears to give the same effect. They made light work of that and moved on to clearing litter from around the outside of the centre - collecting at least 2 big bags full!

By the time dusk came, we all felt really chuffed with the outcome and you could definitely see that Goodgym had been and sprinkled some of their magic... ;-)

It was a really lovely evening of chatting and catching up. Same time next week? :)))
