Thanks to 'kreepy-krawly' Kirsty for the title pun, and the Ladybird model James who inspired it!

On this evening's group run we were to meet Peter and the team for making up some delivery bags and subsequently delivering said bags to potential homeless encampments scattered across Barnsley.

At Hope House we met up with Peter who had already mostly made up the 4 bags we were to distribute. No wires were crossed this time and he was already inside waiting for us. All we had to do to make the bags complete was make up several rounds of cheese sandwiches and brew up some coffee for a flask. We each packed a rucksack with two bags and one of us took an additional flask and cups. The contents of the bags were the usual combination of water, chocolate, sandwiches, crisps and biscuits.

The destinations to explore tonight were twofold. Our first port of call was the encampment up the hill in the woods behind The Range. This destination usually proves a challenge to get up to as there is a very slippy muddy path usually. This obstacle has recently given way to another challenge, nettles and brambles. We found the camp abandoned but decided to venture further up the hillside through some huge brambles to search for a possible secondary location. No secondary camp was found, but we did get to partake in some tree climbing. We each came away several thorns the richer!

We next headed down to The Fleets to search for another potential camp in the woods beside the fishing lake. We didn't find any camps but it's still a useful visit as we can report back that there is nobody for them to make a trip for down there.

Whilst in the vicinity of the serene lake we decided to take advantage of the fishing platforms for some scenic exercise. As we have been doing some extra-curricular climbing recently the exercise we did was push-ups with an arm lift on every 'up'. Care was taken to maintain a rigid body position without rolling to one side upon lifting an arm. This improves core strength and balance.

Finally, we slowly headed back up the hill to Hope House. Here we reported our findings and did our stretch off session indoors before parting ways until next time.
