Snug as a bug
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Coventry.
- Tuesday, 28th of June 2022
2 Goodgymers walked and cycled to help Mrs S with moving her bed.
Mrs S has noisy neighbours which is making it difficult for her to sleep with her bed right next to their wall. We were tasked with moving her bed which consisted of 2 double mattresses and a divan base from one bedroom into another at the other side of the house to make it easier for her to sleep.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Mrs S and the task referrer who also provided another pair of hands with the task. After a brief look at the route from one room to the other and making sure everything was as clear as possible, we moved the parts of the bed one at a time between the 3 of us and then set them up in the bedroom at the other side of the house.
Once the bed was in place we were able to make the bed up with clean bed linen including lots of comfy looking pillows ready for Mrs S to snuggle up and get a good night's sleep tonight.
With the task done in record time, there was a chance for Jackie and Katherine to catch up on each other's news whilst they walked back home before Jackie finished the last part of her journey on her bike.
