On Saturday morning, we headed over to Southwark to help Mrs B with her overgrown garden. She had broken her back and so had not tended to the garden for a few months. Indeed, the garden was quite overgrown, mostly with weeds and a couple of unruly rose bushes and trees. There was also a surprise in the form of remains of one or several pigeons, I managed to snap a photo of a suspect, a rather well fed cat that prowling around nearby.

Luckily, that was the only surprise and with four of us there we managed to fill 7 bin bags and transform the garden in just an hour and a half. We said goodbye to a very grateful and happy Mrs B, who was clearly proud of her garden (apparently the only one that is not paved in her close) and glad for the help in getting it tidy for summer.
