A record number of midweek GoodGymmers came down for the latest weekday run. This week’s task was at the Julian Trust Homeless Shelter in St Pauls, where we were helping to sort out the donated clothes and blankets.

We met at Roll for the Soul and after a quick warm up and introduction headed to St Pauls via Castle Park. We did some extra dynamic stretching in the park and then ran through Broadmead and the Bearpit to St Pauls, with a couple of extra sprints on then way!

The Julian Trust is an amazing organisation that provides food for up to 80 homeless people, and beds for about 18, every night. It was great to be able to help them out. Many hands made light work as we sorted out the pile of clothes into mens and womens. As the clothes were laid out on the tables it was clear that a clothes store somewhere had missed out on some gifted staff!

With the task done we headed back to Roll for the Soul, running through the deserted Cabot Circus and finishing with a sprint finish on the home straight.

Special mention to Ellen and Kate who were rocking their new GoodGym tshirts and won all the sprints!
