This morning, Linda and I headed to Mr K's to help tackle some plants which he needed a hand with.

When we arrived, we double checked task request with him - he confirmed that front was quite messy, and the back needed a lot of attention too. On looking at the back garden, it was unclear how far back the weeds, thistles, etc went, due to this, we agreed to spend our hour tackling the front garden - particularly clearing the path, steps, and bin area.

He was the loveliest host, offering food, drinks and stories (we stuck with - and enjoyed - the stories the most). He told us about his past, his previous fondness for exercise, and his past involvement in volunteering as well.

After an hour of digging, scraping, and weed-pulling, we were done. We offered to move the pile of garden waste, or bag it up, but Mr K is keen to let it dry and take it out back in batches to deal with it.
