8 runners ran 8K to help CCP of Boscombe

Storms had blown themselves out as the team gathered at the usual meeting point of Flirt cafe for tonights task - a decorating job at a local teenage homeless charity.

A big well done to Ross and Daryl for their efforts in the weekend New Forest races. Great running! And thankyou to Ross for this weeks title - very appropriate !

After a brief warmup we headed off through the town and up Old Christchurch road to aim to get to the task as early as possible , knowing much needs doing to help them prepare for an open day on the 5th of October.

We arrived in good time to see what was in store for tonight - sanding, lots of sanding! Armed with a roll of sandpaper - Neil , Abi , Caprice ,Ross and Dan set to on the stairs and paintwork - a fab upper body workout - while Andrew made a bee-line for the power sander , which could probably be heard from space ! Daryl was in discussions with the task owner about paint options and colour schemes ready for next week . Henry the hoover then made a welcome appearance which signaled that time was up , and it was time to say goodbye. In the meantime a table tennis game had broken out - the energy levels of the group never cease to amaze!

A darkening route back through town took us through the lively Landsdown area with the usual short hill to follow to lead us back to Flirt cafe.

An amazing job by all tonight - see you all next week as we get to work on the painting to get the house ship-shape for the planned open day - meet at Flirt cafe at the usual time :)
