And they all won! Every single Kingston Park runner beat the rain, much to the gratitude of the 3 GoodGymers who turned up to help marshal it.

Caroline was the official time keeper, pressing the right button at the right time for the right runner in the right position, Rob was tasked with handing the tokens to the token giver outer person and Samia pretended to be working on the supermarket checkouts, scanning barcodes whilst remembering Athlete before token, A before T, all the time hoping those dark clouds roll on by... Simple as pi really.

After all runners were accounted for, we set down the funnel, picked up the cones, packed down the flag, ate some lovely homemade buscuits and discussed where we may position a GoodGym table in future, to further advertise the great work we do.

So the next time you go on a park run and think how well organised and smoothly it runs, have a thought to thank the marshals for their efforts, especially the one in the white fluorescent jacket who has to un scramble the mess of numbers, to work out if token 334 was actually position 333 or 335...
