Mr A's mobility scooter wouldn't start, so I ran down to Islington to take a look. Sure enough, the batteries were themselves run down. So I removed them and advised his wife/carer to charge them inside in the dry (it was pouring down outside). Hopefully they will hold a charge and he will be mobile again. If not, it will be time for a shiny new means of transport.
