Today Louise and I ran to help move some furniture so Mrs R would be able to come home from hospital and life safely and comfortably in her living room while she recovers.

We met the team from the council and hospital who were coordinating this process, and helped move a few bits to get started.

Louise and I made a valiant effort trying to get the bed downstairs, but (even when we tried taking a door of it's hinges) there was no way of making this happen. Louise and I discussed the possibility of taking it down through the back window and lowering it off the extension (it was very light!), but the discharge team opted to get a new bed ordered in.

While it wasn't a runaway success story, we helped the discharge team realise the bed wasn't come down (presumably having been delivered upstairs via some sort of portal system) and that the best option was to get some new kit in. Satisfied with that, Louise and I ran off into the heat!

p.s. I saw a really cute teenage gosling on my run back. Just wanted to share that.
