Really Adze Some Fun Tonight

A lovely Friday evening mission to make a start on clearing the left hand side of Mrs S’s back garden.

In addition to providing me with shears, loppers, spade and lots of bags, she’d also soaked the handle of my favourite gardening toy, the Adze, so that it had expanded enough to prevent the head from falling off.

It’s Bristol Balloon Fiesta this weekend and it was great to see that some had made their way over to North East Bristol this evening, passing nearby, as I dug, pulled, snipped, chopped and bagged, some of the longer weeds and shrubs, before starting to clear some of the smaller weeds with the Adze.

Spurred on by a nice cuppa from Mrs S but turning down her offer to pop out to buy me a Chinese Takeaway, it was great to make a bit more progress.

There’s still more to do, but it’s starting to look a bit better!
