Although a bit blustery, it was actually quite a decent Monday..... until about 6pm that is... From there things went downhill - wind picked up, rain started slow but got heavier by the minute. Add to that a task falling through and a trainer stuck in the city and it started to resemble a perfect storm!

After a democratic vote, it was a unanimous decision to go ahead no matter what the weather and run the streets of Wanstead, so 7 went out and braved the weather for a 3 mile run patrolling for any christmas trees left behind.

We are happy to report that the streets of Wanstead seem to be x-mas tree-free!

During the run Julia went through an inpressive list of weather based puns, way too many to remember, but some of them might make an appearance in future reports.

Post run & post stretch, we realised we didnt have any images yet, so James snapped a few in the shelter of our little 'home' - apologies to Jen who had left by then! The one of me with the banner (great work as always from Sharon) refers to the 100 tasks done in 2019. The picture of Julia & Linda is perhaps best left with Julia's own comment: 'don't mess with us!'...

Some housekeeping:

Next Saturday 18/01 James is looking to set up a starter session, awaiting confirmation from Marian for task details. The nearby Wanstead parkrun is quite a muddy one, but a 10.30 task start should leave enough time to come down from the usual Valentines parkrun.

The week after Saturday 25/01 there might be another parkrun & task double, with a possible bird-counting session in Valentines parks Rose garden - details to follow once they are known!
