Equipped with a shopping list that had been put in the letter box by my elderly isolating neighbour, I donned my waterproof deluge trousers for a cycle through the downpour to the shop and to my amazement, there was no queue! For the first time in a month I walked straight into the shop without any waiting around at all! Shopping for others is always a learning experience for me! Today I learned that there are less people going to the shops in the pouring rain and I also learned which aisle to find smoked mackerel and lamb livers which I have never bought before! Thankfully I didn’t have to search long for them as my neighbour had included a map of the aisles in the shop with directions to find each item! Quickest mission I’d accomplished in a while!
