Pinkwalkers in the park
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Luton.

I joined the volunteer team for a marshalling stint at Luton Wardown Park where over 300 walkers took part in the Walk of Hope. It's an annual fundraising event for brain tumour research and a memorial to a number of young lives cut tragically short by brain cancer. Prior to the start we were treated to some beautiful singing from The Rock Choir and words from bereaved parents to inspire us all. The course was the regular parkrun course and the participants created a ribbon of pink t-shirts around the park as they completed their laps, some chatting and laughing, some in quiet contemplation, and all forging on to the finish with a pink ribboned medal awaiting to commemorate the day.
