Open for business

My first full experience with the Foodshare Shop. I was both excited and nervous. Two hours flew by as I got to know the other volunteers and stocked the shelves and fridges. At sharp 12:30 people poured in and the aisles (two, plural!) were empty before the hour was up.

I shadowed a lovely volunteer on how to check the items at the exit, and another one at the expired/near expiry item counter trying to save as much from being wasted as possible. So much to learn and such a humbling experience.
