Old and new root-ines

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

I teamed up with Dave for my first ever mission. Mrs I has her heart set on having a vegetable patch but unfortunately the land was choked with lots of thick white roots and needed sorting.

We grabbed forks and churned up the very sticky mud pulling out clumps of roots and bits of plastic netting from the soil whilst chatting away. Dave assured me this must have been the second muddiest mission he has ever been on!

We stopped for some chi Masala to warm up and clear our noses before launching into a hole digging session trying to dig right down to eliminate the whole plant. After filling the holes back in and restoring Mrs I's garden to an acceptable looking state.

I am sure she's looking forward to having her next team of runners next week.
