There’s no better interlude to a Friday night than Mr G’s shopping bash. While others may start the weekend going on a bender, a GoodGymer shuns the tradition and becomes a spender!

Mr G entrusted me with £30 of cash in one-pound and two-pound coins, which I took to Casinobury’s and kept throwing into a slot machine as if there was no tomorrow. The gamble paid off as I won a week's worth of groceries, including walnut halves and frozen garden peas, which Mr G hadn’t had for a while!

The session, featuring 7km of running and some grocery lifting, left me so exhilarated I wasn’t able to write about it until 48 hours later. Until next week!
