Well this is attempt number 2... After I exited the tab on my phone 🙈

I forgot to take many photos because I got carried away chatting to the parkrunners this morning (it was also drizzling a little so I may have been hiding)!

It was a great parkrun at Sloughbottom this morning. Not only was there a record turnout of 223, but there was a new course record of sub-16 minutes!

I was tail walker, which means that I make sure no one gets left behind and take signs back to the start when I pass them for the final time. I also got a walkie-talkie and had to tell the run director when I left and entered the park, which made me feel very important!

I had a good chat with three ladies and a 7 month old baby girl (well, she mainly smiled at me!) - one of the ladies is running Run Norwich next week, and the other two are marshalling. Watch out for them at Carrow Road! The lady with the baby had a new running buggy and the little girl wasn't too sure about it - everyone was taking it in turns to carry her!

At the end I collected up some cones and also the parkrun flag that goes at the start. Brad and Fletcher helped me, and as we took it back to the Run Director we found out we didn't need to take it apart 😂 once we put it back together again we headed back home for fried egg sandwiches. The perfect start to a Saturday!
