Haringey

Mission

No sitting on the fence

3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Haringey.

Having variously warmed up with Park Runs and full English breakfasts at a local café, Lee-Ann, Dave and John arrived at a house near Northumberland Park and soon set to work clearing weeds from the front garden and generally tidying up. Additionally, having checked the Mission rules first, they picked up a broken section of fencing and somehow erected it to fill a gap between the house and the remaining fence. It may not be as good as new, but at least it’s up. The three Goodgymers still had time to visit the back garden, where they hacked away at overgrown grass and weeds to made the area at least navigable, even if a further visit might be desirable to make it fully beautiful again. They were offered the small reward of a few sprigs of thyme before heading into the North London sunshine and taking a bus down to Seven Sisters.
