No Gutters, No Glory

Ben and I were helping Golcar Environment Group out this morning clearing gutters on Upper Wellhouse Road. Years of neglect had meant the gutters had become clogged with earth, leaves, weeds and other debris creating a flooding risk as rainwater couldn't effectively drain on the steeply sloping road.

Anyway two hours of hard labour resulted in over half the length of gutter being cleared. Rebecca from Wellhouse Environment Group was very happy with our efforts. Ben and I were happy too when we got a free drink and cake with the rest of the workers in Wellhouse Club.
