Christine and Barbara returned to Glen Gardens, this time joined by Egg and fortunately without the wind and rain of the previous day

Adi from the Friends of Glen Gardens was already hard at work trimming some of the laurel bushes and set us to work on another one which needed trimming right back. Egg took the loppers, Barbara the secateurs and Christine gathered up the debris and chopped it down into the large white builders bags. Barbara took a turn with the loppers and enjoyed getting right into the middle of the bush and removing lots of thick branches until Adi said

"I think I'd better take those off you now before there's nothing left!"

The leaves and branches were quickly gathered up and Egg had great fun jumping in to squish it all down so we could fit more into each bag.

Several large bags were filled (after being expertly squished) and we promised a return visit to do some raking.
