3 runners joined forces today running from Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow to come together to help Mrs J. This was my first mission and my longest run yet - missions are a great way to get your training in as I found out this morning running 18km along the river. Samia was somewhere along the Thames doing the same but accomplishing a whopping 21km in the sunshine. Andy saved his legs for his 15 mile run tomorrow and took part in park run before jogging to North Sheen where we all met and stretched.

Today we met and helped Mrs J to clear some clutter from her home. Mrs J has lived there for 6 years and due to poor health she has been unable to maintain her home in the way she would have liked. "It's difficult to see it like this as I am an organised person." We got to work asking Mrs J what she would like to keep, what we could throw away, be recycled or go to the charity shop.

"Mrs J, you've got to let us know...should it stay or should it go!"

We removed a microwave, sorted through paperwork, broke down empty boxes (Andy's favourite) and sorted through memorabilia that Mrs J had forgotten was there. Although Mrs J found moments of the mission overwhelming as she sorted through the past, she was extremely thankful that she could now get to her chest of drawers in her bedroom as we had removed the clutter that blocked her from it.

To complete the mission we walked to a local charity shop in Richmond to drop off 3 bags full of items that Mrs J had no use for - 2 good deeds in one!

Today felt like a very worthwhile and meaningful mission as this was a task Mrs J would have been unable to do herself due to her poor health. I really enjoyed being able to help Mrs J and this was made all the better by being joined by Andy and Samia. Thanks guys!

Have a good week
