This week saw 15 of us head back to Mayflower Estate in West Kensington where we were digging over more flower beds, removing slippery weeds and cutting back over-hanging bushes that were impeding the walkways for local residents. A quick spruce up of the area and we'd managed to finish some jobs that the local residents had been struggling to complete and made some walk-ways safer and nicer in the process!
Despite a rather damp warm-up, the weather was kind(ish!) to us and the rain held off while we were actually out at the task. Having gotten a little cold on the task it seemed only right that we headed to Bills post-run for a warming set of pancakes! Lessons learned this evening:- Jason is the expert in double-pudding tactics for refueling excellence...! And if you ask for a cup of tea at Bills - expect 6! No complaints here though.
Overall it was a wonderful mix of running, doing good, and lots of socialising and eating - perfect!
See you all next week. Anna

Hah Jason looks so happy
Indeed, who wouldn't with ample amounts of tea and gooey chocolate pancakes desserts :)
