Marshalling to music

Elizabeth and I marshalled at the Blickling Half Marathon at the 12 mile marker. The briefing notes for marshalls had encouraged us to play music so rather than bang out some inane thumping pop number I thought I’d provide a few bars of ‘Chariots of Fire’ on my cello instead. The only problem was I only thought of it just beforehand so hadn’t practiced and could only find a little bit from the internet which I played over and over!! Elizabeth meanwhile did a sterling job of cheering on every single runner as they puffed past us, despite it being chilly!
