1 Goodgymer helped Miss J with some much needed jobs in her garden.

The first task was to mow the lawn. This involved first encouraging the next door neighbour's cat to move from his lazy slumber (with perhaps a few strokes involved) so that Katherine could get to the longer bits of grass with the lawnmower. Unfortunately the strimmer wasn't working, so Katherine did as much as possible by hand to tidy up the edges. Once done, all the grass clippings were raked up and put in the compost bin.

The next task was to plant some lavender plants along the edge of Miss J's garden. This involved digging out some of the turf and putting compost into the hole to give the plants the best chance of establishing.

Unfortunately Katherine ran out of time before she could plant the rest of Miss J's plants, but she did manage to put up her washing line which Miss J has been struggling with for a while, so now she can have wonderfully fresh washing as well as the waft of lavender on the breeze.
