Last night our Newham starter session seemed to have gotten off to a slow start.

However things soon picked up and a group for four got going on a run around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Armed with rubbish bags and Vinyl gloves we set off in search of litter, I must admit we approximately 2 kilometres before finally spotting a used tissue in the middle of the path way.

It seemed as though we would find nothing as we swooshed past the giant RUN scultpture on the way back into the Olympic stadium.

We started to pick up the pace a little expecting to see little to no litter.

Until.... Wait for it .. Carol found a long thread of foam wrapping tangled on one of the benches, before Tim (Welcome to good gym Newham) found a few empty cans along the opposing side of the stadium.

Grace hit the jackpot almost immediately after, finding a mother load of dumped rubbish.

We got to it with enthusiasm and filled a whole bag of litter in not time.

Shortly after we headed back to the Aqua centre for some drills, a lactate threshold test in the form of shuttle runs and some foot work on the stairs 'Rocky Style'

The night came to a close with what can only be described as expressive stretches.
