Today's pre (and post shop) conversation with Mr T was definitely one for the musical purists (of which he absolutely qualifies, and I generally just nod along in agreement...). He'd asked how the concert that I'd gone to last Friday evening had gone (very well I said), and we then got into discussions over conductor and band master skills and their ability (or in the case of the story behind today's run report title, inability) to conduct properly. Suffice to say Mr T has clearly had his "moments" with sub par bandmasters of times long past, and it was a highly entertaining recap of marching and concert band moments that he'd been a part of in his musical youth.

Today's shopping proved largely painless, with no requirement to stay in time - a quick dash to Tesco for a Warburton's loaf, then into Friday afternoon Lidl, which wasn't too busy in the aisles, and apart from a Nescafe drought, ticked everything off the list.

The queue to pay was past the special offers and into the white wine section, which made for some interesting browsing as we all shuffled along, eventually reaching the more familiar freezer section and finally into the chaos that is the checkout area, but all good and I was back in no time to pick up the musical discussion.
