I still haven't found what I'm looking fork
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Coventry.
- Saturday, 8th of October 2022
On a sunny autumnal Saturday, I set off on my bike to visit Miss J and help her to get control of the weeds in her garden as they had started to take over. Most of Coventry seems to have roadworks at the moment, but I breezed past the queues of traffic on my bike, and tried not to get lost as I was diverted in more than one place.
After I chatted with Miss J about what she would like me to remove, I set about using a fork to remove some particularly tricky weeds with chunky roots in her flower beds and enjoyed listening to all the sounds of Saturdays around me; a local football match, someone mowing their lawn and people outside enjoying their day. Although some of the weeds needed a little bit of untangling, I was able to clear the areas so that Miss J can move pots in place as she finds them easier to maintain. Miss J was very pleased with her garden and we had a little chat about gardening and Goodgym before I was off on my bike again. 10km cycled, a good deed completed and all before lunchtime!
