Mission

I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clo!

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Unfortunately Clo came down with the lurgey last night (get well soon Clo!) so Fi put out the call for a reserve to fill in on this mission. Dave stepped in and the mission was "go".

We met Mrs B and her daughter who were waiting for us and were quickly directed to the garden shed where we found 2 mowers to choose from and opted for the newer looking model and, despite the grass being a little long and wet, it worked a treat.

Also tasked with cutting back the overhanging tree/bush branches at the back of the garden, we knew this was a job for Fi, who's artistic trimming qualities are legendary in Bristol mission circles and, armed with a ladder, shears and secateurs she snipped and clipped, while I took on the grass. Ooh and Fi spotted a Bengal cat over the fence!

Whilst it was a cold morning, the garden was a real sun trap making our work a joy and, despite a couple of efforts to rain and sleet, we managed to get everything done and bagged in around 90 minutes before joining Mrs B and her daughter for a lovely cup of tea and a chat (and a bit of last night's The Voice).
