How many GGers does it take to change light bulb? 💡

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bexley.

Mr K was worried about security when a light bulb in his porch stopped working and he wasn't able to climb a stepladder to reach it. Johnny and I answered the call for help.

It wasn't a standard light fitting and Mr K didn't have a spare so Johnny removed the old lamp and we headed off to find a replacement. Following Mr K's directions to a local electrical supplies shop, we were lucky that the shop owner was willing to flex his COVID 'pre-order only' policy to sell us what we needed there and then.

Back in the porch it was a two-handed job to fit the new lamp and reposition the lampshade.

All three of us breathed a sigh of relief when Mr K flicked the switch and the light worked. You could say it was one of those light bulb moments!
