This little piggy went to GoodGym, this little piggy stayed home (and didn't do any good or go for a run!), this little piggy cleaned pots and floors and windows and lots of other stuff!

We went the whole hog last night at GoodGym Bristol (note that I'm going to farm the rural analogies as much as I can), and got on our trotters to run to the lovely Windmill Hill City Farm, where we met up with Lizzy. Lured by the promise of piglets, we split in to two groups - cleaning flower pots and cleaning the volunteers building.

The flower pot men (and women) had to walk past no less than 17 little piglets to the pot room. The precious pink porkers were snug in their sty and snuggled up in straw. They were utterly adorable, as was the snores of pig mum who was massive compared to her porcine offspring.

Piglet inspection came later for the building cleaning crew, once they'd made a clean sweep of the building - the pace was frenetic and you had to often duck for cover on the way through to avoid mops, dusters, and other miscellaneous household sprucing equipment used to help beef up the cleaning effort. They settled in like a pig in...er...mud, and sooner, rather than later, they'd done an udderly great job and gone at it like a bull in a china shop (note that it's been shown that a bull in a china shop will actually be very dainty and avoid smashing anything!)

In the mean time, no kidding, there were a lot of pots, so a production line was swiftly formed as they were cleaned, sorted, and dried. Luckily no-one quailed before the task and whilst there were still pots left over (leaving an unfinished task really gets my goat!), at least no one made a pigs ear of it all. Plus some of us got to go past the sty again to have another gander at the little ones!

All too soon, it was time to make like a sheep and flock off back to the Folk House, but not before we'd done a little warming up as it was very colt (geddit?) outside.

As always, you GoodGym peeps have raised the bahhh - I could rabbit on a lot more about how fantastic ewe all are, but you may think I'm flogging a dead horse. There is one thank you I have to say - Kim, veteran GoodGym runner and black t-shirt holder came up with her first run name pun, and I think we'll all agree that it was worth the 2 year wait. Now it's time to egg each udder on and see what else you can come up with!
