In addition to our usual 90 minutes GoodGym Barnsley run, we decided to squeeze in an extra good deed to finish off January and help the local homeless people!

Just before meeting for the evening, the council put out a tweet to say that due to severe low temperatures, all homeless people would be given free shelter for the night. They asked for help from the community to let people know!

With this in mind, we spent 20 minutes following our leaflet task, running around the main streets of Barnsley town centre looking for homeless people to inform. There were surprising few homeless people out on the streets (thankfully!) but we did see one chap who really wasn't dressed appropriately for the weather! We directed him to the shelter!

It was a quick task, but given the temperatures, it felt like a very worthwhile thing to do! Good job all!

This was Sharon's 50 good deed for Barnsley!!! Let's give her some love here. Amazing work!
