Hammersmith and Fulham

Community mission

Had to get rid: the other plants were green with Ivy! (Ivy = Envy, does that pun make sense?)

4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Fulham Palace Trust in Hammersmith and Fulham.

Spring had finally sprung with a lovely Saturday morning greeting our four goodgym runners who helped to clear out a large patch of ground dominated by Ivy.

Through shovel fork and sectare we helped dig out multiple Ivy roots (have to get rid of them to finally get rid of the plant!) and sectared our way through thick growth that had dominated the ground and was stopping other plants growing.

We also help dig out several bramble plant roots to make sure they did not take advantage of their headstart and help promote more growth around the Palace gardens.

A lovely way to start the weekend. :)
