Me and Charlene spent this morning helping to clear Miss J’s garden (but not before Charlene put me through my paces running up some seriously steep hills to get there!). We were introduced to the task by Miss J’s relative who was eager to get the garden back in good shape as Miss J likes to sit out there and enjoy the sun. We set to work removing a lot of brambles and it soon became clear that we weren’t alone in the bushes and we had to navigate around some big ol’ spiders to get the job done. Once we’d cleared the back pathway we focused on the back wall as it’s the first thing you see when you walk into the garden. An hour or so later and we could see the wall again and spent some time raking up the debris into piles for Miss J’s relative to bag up this afternoon. Everyone seemed happy with our progress and its given them a boost to continue with the work we have started.. hoorah! Big thanks to Charlene for showing me the ropes on my first mission!
