Getting Eggcited and not loafing around!

Hello all! Today we welcomed Lucia to the little Tuesday morning Crew of Mayuko, Richard and myself. We started with admireing each other's face masks. Richard was sporting a floral number, giving a whole new meaning to smelling the flowers. Lucia, being true to her Italian roots, was sporting a very elegant and tailored stripey one; Georgio Armani would be proud. And I decided on one with skulls on it, because I missed my last eye test and thought they were polka dots. Should have gone to spec savers!

We had our temperature taken as per usual. I had my doubts about the temperature gun as it seems to be putting us at 34-35 degrees which, I have been reliably informed, means we either have hypothermia or are about to die from hypothermia. Running around a supermarket was the perfect way to get our temperatures up!

As most of us have been doing this mission for a couple of weeks now, we are starting to familiarise ourselves with the people we are doing shops for and giving them backstories or nicknames. There is the lady who seems to order maple syrup every week. I'd like to think it's because she makes pancakes every week, in which case I hope when then the pandemic is over I can go over to her house. There is the guy who loves pasties and scotch eggs, and I hope he eats them together, but creates some kind of kinetic balancing statue before he does!

I did the most number of shops this week (3) because I today I pretended I was playing the supermarket version of Mario Kart! Mayuko and Richard were nice enough to stick around to help me with my last items and we were done. Mayuko and Richard have been doing this three times a week almost every week which is amazing! Nice work guys!
