We had a lovely morning to be out in the sunshine. Jennie and I met Mrs E bright and early. She explained that there was a lot of weeding to do in the garden, in and amongst the patio paving slabs and the borders of her garden. A full session of weeding was required!

She showed us to the tool shed although we didn't need anything more than a garden fork. Jennie started at the far end of the patio, and we met in the middle. Jennie did a great job getting some deep-rooted dandelions up, whilst I had a lot of easier to pull up weeds which had grown into the pebbles and between paving slabs.

Once we'd got to this milestone, Mrs E kindly offered us a lemonade and a banana. We then quickly cleared a lot of surface weeds on an adjacent border and pathway. After a quick sweep up, and disposing of the weeds, we were on our way. We'd spent a lovely couple of hours outside, and the garden was looking a lot neater. Here's to keeping those weeds at bay for a while!
