Southwark

Mission

Flying without wings...today I went to Iceland (and even saw an Elephant).

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

As with a few missions recently, the challenge was finding Mr O's front door, but once done, his requests were pretty straightforward and needed me to only visit two shops - Iceland and Poundland which he said were opposite each other in the Elephant & Castle shopping centre. Glad I came by bike.

With noticeably more people out and about, I was expecting long queues, but no problems at either shop - my only challenge was trying to fit Mr O's frozen chicken portions and mixed veg in my backpack...it was then a short hop, skip and a jump across to the Poundland queue to find the specific washing powder he wanted where I also discovered that not only does Poundland offer much lower prices, it has also managed to compress 2 metres judging by their floor markings, but fortunately it wasn't too busy so wasn't a problem!

A somewhat wobbly bike ride back to Mr O's with his frozen food and washing powder packed and balanced into every available carrying space I had and delivery to Mr O at his front door for which he was really appreciative.
