This was the first time since I started visiting Mrs. M that she wasn't her usual smiling self, full of stories and easy wit; her ailments of the last few weeks, made worse by the fall, seem to have finally taken its toll on her.

Still, she valiantly carries on, hoping she'll feel better soon. I fervently hope so too 🙏

We chatted about many things and as always, the hour flew by in the blink of an eye. I emptied the vacuum cleaner, brought her a glass of water with some crackers and cheese and said goodbye, promising to see her next Sunday.
