Evry Day I’m “Shovelling”

2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Haringey.

Paul and Ernie (Ernestas) arrived bright an early at 9:00am at the Tottenham Cafe Connect & were greeted by their regular volunteers.

Goodgym were there to help set up for an open day event they were running later in the day starting at 11:00am. The event at Cafe Connect was for the local residents of all ages. It included a cycle workshop, free taster games and a yoga session, and gardening.

There was a lot of tidying up to be done before the event. Pallets of tiles to be moved, a couple of tonnes of sand, several large plant pots to be moved and walk ways cleared. Paul and Ernie got stuck into shovelling the enormous bags of sand! There were soon thoughts of building sand castles, but the task in hand was stuck to!**

Two hours flew by and with all the sand shifted, a bit of tidying up and a few pointers to the other volunteers it was time to say goodbye to Cafe Connect.
