I ran across the city to Digbeth to help at the foodbank for the first time in a couple of weeks. It was pretty miserable rain but I was in a great mood having been offered a new job last night! Perhaps that’s why the pun ended up being so triumphant. My task today was a caffeine top up, decanting boxes filled with sachets of tea bags into portions which could be put into food parcels. It was a welcome return as I had missed out and really enjoyed the satisfaction of filling a box up ready for volunteers to use in the bags. I also bumped into a neighbour, who was here volunteering to drive around dropping off the parcels at homes around Birmingham.
