Days of yore

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.

I haven't heard anyone using the phrase "days of yore" except for in F.R.I.E.N.D.S but Mr. T is a good old fashioned gentleman with impressive vocabulary and diction. If there was anyone who would use it, it had to be him!

On a sunny afternoon, I dropped in for my now-regular visits to Mr. T. We chatted at length about many a things including chimneys and drainage in the days of yore 😀 We discussed some local restaurants and food options and I learnt that someone nicked the elephant statue outside the Thai Orchid years ago. I'm all ears for all kinds of history!

He's already looking forward to my travel stories when I return after the Easter break.

Well done Diya! I think I might know where that statue is now! I've passed something like it on a run...but that was back in days of yore so it might not be there anymore.
