Cutting it vine

it was pretty cold this morning but that didn't stop 2 GoodGymers from completing todays community mission. Superstar Katherine had already done a community mission earlier in this morning as well!

We were greeted by Esther and another allotment volunteer who explained our task of the day.

The Ivy vines are suffocating the Hawthorn around the outskirts of the allotment so it was our task to cut and untangle all the Ivy to leave just the Hawthorn, which is a great hedgerow for wildlife.

We spent a couple of hours chopping back ( and getting pricked by the thorns) and managed to fill 2 large bags between us.

A good mornings work and Katherine you definitely deserve a nana nap this afternoon!
