Southwark

Mission

Chairfully does it

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

On another beautiful day for giving purpose to my run, I arrived to find Ms S waiting for me with a rather large chair for removal so that her husband's recliner could be delivered from hospital and Mr S not long after it.

It was rather a massive chair, and that, coupled with my less than brilliant spacial awareness and some narrow corridors made for an interesting twenty minutes. Still, with Mrs S cheering on from the sidelines I eventually made it outside and halfway into the areas with the bins. Then I realised it didn't fit past them. So back out came the chair, followed by the four bins, back in went the chair, and, back in with the bins. I just hope the neighbours weren't watching. Kind Mrs S said I must have muscles like a very strong girl, which is patently untrue as I have the upper body strength of wet spaghetti, but it was very nice to have the support.

All that was left was a run home counting NHS rainbows all the way.
