Mission

Cats and dogs but no rainbows

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Bournemouth.

I left home in a raincoat (sensible) and sunglasses (optimistic) to collect Miss K's food parcel. Just as I pulled up at the foodbank, the sky turned black and the ominous sound of thunder rolled in the not too remote distance. The first drops of rain started to fall as I waited for the parcel, grateful for the porch to wait under. Having loaded up my (much larger than last time) rucksack and basket, I wasn't in a hurry to set off as it was pouring cats and dogs by now. By the time I got to the beach, I couldn't see a thing out of my sunglasses but couldn't take them off as they're prescription. I stopped to take a few photos of the dramatic sky , before cycling towards the blue sky beyond Bournemouth pier. By the time I got to Alum Chine, it was a totally different day and I was grateful for my sunglasses after all. When I got to Miss K's, she wasn't in so I called her and she arranged for her neighbour to collect the parcel. It was a much sunnier ride home so I was well dried out by the time I got back. Sadly I didn't see any rainbows but, as always with Goodgym, I felt so much better after my mission than I had beforehand.
